Job Title: Director of Operations (Expatriate)

Roles and Responsibilities
The Successful candidate must be willing to relocate to Nigeria.
  • Communicates or assists in communicating the status and results of projects via written reports and oral presentations to management and the Board of Directors.
  • Drives business development by presenting Board of Directors with new profitable business opportunities.
  • Cultivates business relationships to introduce strategic investors and operations partners to projects.
  • Manages client and strategic partner relations to generate new business by meeting clients, investors, and partners and by visiting to prospective partnering and new development sites.
  • Collaborates with business unit managers to advise on matters concerning the Company's best practices as they apply to vetting new opportunities.
  • Develops procedures for Consolidating reports from business unit managers and other executives for the purpose of reporting to Board of Directors
  • Establishes goals, objectives, milestones, and work plans for business initiatives.
  • Reviews budgets and all other forms of departmental reporting for rationality of assumptions, quality of projections, and relevancy in light of goals and objectives.
  • Advises management and performs assigned tasks to provide reasonable assurance as to the reliability and integrity of information; compliance with policies, processes, management guidelines, agreed contracts with third parties and Government laws and regulations, safeguarding of company assets, economic use of resources, accomplishment of corporate objectives, risk management and best practice processes.
  • Helps to structure and secure outside financing for projects and partnerships.
  • Reports on special reviews and identifies risks and opportunities related to internal and external operations and develops recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintains all organizational and professional codes of ethical standards.
Requirements
Skill Set:
  • Technical and Project Management Skills.
  • Extensive work experience in developing economy
  • A MINIMUM of 15 years work experience, 7 at managerial level.
  • Technical, Managerial and some level of Marketing Skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and deliver on a reliable basis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening skills and skill in presenting findings and recommendations.
  • Extensive training and experience in financial management, modeling, and advisory.
  • Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions.
  • Considerable skill in planning and project management, and in maintaining composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines.
  • Skill in negotiating and closing deals.
  • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff and external contacts, and to work effectively in a professional team environment.
